The society meets twice monthly on Wednesday evenings from September to March/April, for talks and presentations on a wide range of subjects. We also arrange visits to theatres and places of interest, including a Promenade Concert in the summer, together with a short 'mini-holiday' usually in May. The talks and presentations, fourteen in number and mostly illustrated, are given by invited speakers. The venue is:

Our 38th season of talks is from Wednesday, 21st September 2011 to Wednesday, 4th April 2012.
The
subscription for 2011-2012 remains at
13
per person.
The season commences at 7.30pm (tea/coffee from 7pm) on 21st September 2011 with a short AGM
followed at 8pm with an illustrated talk by Dr David George entitled, Coral Reefs, the Jewels of the Sea.
All other meetings commence at 8pm, with tea/coffee from 7.30pm
